Danbo cheeses from Them Andelsmejeri are different from those of other producers. That’s why we don’t call them Danbo, but simply ‘yellow cheese.’ We use our very own recipe, which has been developed and refined over many years, and as a result it differs from the usual Danbo cheeses. Ours are simply softer and creamier. That’s how it’s been for the past 100 years – and so it will continue. Try one and taste for yourself.
Most people probably associate Them Andelsmejeri with our remarkable yellow cheeses. Less people know that we also offer a range of special types of cheese that are often inspired by our beautiful region here in the highlands of Jutland. Some of the cheeses are inspired by well-known international cheeses such as Parmesan and Emmentaler, and several have won a number of awards.
If you are looking for something very special, you should taste our premium cheeses. The cheeses are handmade in small batches and are of a especially high quality. In order to enhance the taste and texture, some have matured for over a year. Like our other cheeses, they are carefully monitored by our master cheesemaker until they are ready to be eaten.
